Occupational Therapist Assistant

The Occupational Therapy Assistant, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist and the Director of Nursing, performs patient care as directed by way of a written plan of care and in accordance with state practice guidelines.

Requirements: 

●Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university. 

●Current Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification (COTA) in the state of Indiana.  

●Valid drivers license, valid auto insurance, and reliable transportation. 

●Current CPR/In-Person Certification 

●Valid TB test (past 12 months) or have one placed in our office. 

●Tech savvy, able to learn and navigate several platforms. Proficient with Apple products. 

●Perform routine duties independent of supervision but consults with others as required. 

●Excellent communication and listening skills. 

 

Preferred: 

●Proficient in using EMR systems, (Axxess). 

●Minimum of 2 years Home Health experience.   

●General knowledge of home health practices, including familiarity with relevant state and local services. 

 

Responsibilities: 

●Evaluates abnormal conditions by reviewing occupational therapist’s interpretations of patient evaluations and test results, send/upload progress 

notes/documentation for OT review.
